Also, the fat and water content tend to separate upon freezing, causing moisture to form on the top of the cheese.
How to freeze Velveeta cheese?
Still, it is possible to freeze Velveeta and still use it successfully in recipes. While the texture may not go back entirely to its pre-frozen state, it can be reconstituted somewhat. Plus, once the cheese is melted in a recipe, it can be mixed back together.
